Description:

Clearly, Spider-Man gave comic book fans the best comic book-related movie since the release of Batman in 1989.  Sam Raimi did what so many directors fail to do: take years of history and boil it down to a manageable two hour movie.  So succecful he was, that he's doing it again.  In the second installment, we get to see Raimi's version of Doc Ock, probably Spidey's most recurring enemy and second most antagonistic after the Green Goblin.  A fitting follow-up to the debut offering.  

Marvel comics vanguard character returns to face a handful of villain (or armful in this case).  How will he fair?  How will Raimi fair in creating a difficult to visualize villain?  And, will Spider-Man 2 fair even better than the first?  Early critiques of the fill and buzz through the industry and mainstream would indicate that will be a resounding yes.  The only area really lacking in the original was some of the effects.  If, as promised, we get a more cerebral movie and improve on the effects, and it's a guaranteed blockbuster.
